Meet Our Founder
Thabo Serote founded At Tennis, now also trading as Unfurl Wellness and Social Club, with a clear vision: to create a space where tennis, wellness and community come together.
Thabo is passionate about tennis and all things wellness has been playing for 20 years and coaching for over 15 years. His passion for the game has always extended beyond the court, he has always believed in creating enjoyable experiences, encouraging active lifestyles and making the benefits of tennis accessible to people of all ages, levels and backgrounds.
Unfurl Wellness and Social Club is an extension of that vision. It was created to be more than a place to play tennis; it is a space to slow down, have fun, explore wellness, spend time with others and simply enjoy being present. Tennis remains at the heart of what we do, while the Unfurl community continues to grow around it.
Thabo is also the founder of At Tennis Academy and Motion and Colour Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the development and upliftment of young people through tennis.
Through At Tennis, Unfurl and Motion and Colour Foundation, Thabo’s goal remains the same: to create spaces and opportunities that bring more joy, movement and possibility into people’s lives.
Within his 15+ years of coaching he has obtained the following qualifications:
- Play Tennis Course
- Level 1- National instructor
- Level 2- Advanced Instructor
- TSA (Tennis South Africa) Pro Coach
- ITF (International Tennis Federation) Level 2 Advanced Players Certification.
